Ging does not have a copying ability, he's just very good at controlling his nen and by analyzing how an opponent does something, he can figure out how to shape and control his nen in a similar way, if the opponent's ability is merely throwing a nen ball by instance it's not really that hard to shape your nen into a ball too and throw it if you are an Emission type, we don't know, but he probably ins't able to mimic more complex abilities though. So true lol one more xDGing is a little different, it's not a vability, and he only imitates the ability
#HXH MANGA 361 SERIES#
Like most manipulators are going to have an ability that let's them manipulate (obviously, in so many different ways, different targets of manipulation, different durations etc) so in a similar way most specialists probably think of borrowing/stealing others' nen abilities since it's so convenient and versatile to do so.īetween, I've just remembered that Leol (the tiger chimera ant) also has a borrowing nen ability (rental pod) so that makes it five nen copying/borrowing/stealing abilities in the series so far.īetween, I've just remembered that Leol (the tiger chimera ant) also has a borrowing nen ability (rental pod) so that makes it five nen copying/borrowing/stealing abilities in the series so far.Yeah I think it does make sense for them specialists to go that route. I agree with you that it can get tiring but I've just come to accept that some nen categories are by their construct going to lead to recurrent abilities. It's just that my expectations for Togashi are probably a bit too high at this point xD It's not like it bothers me all that much. But they are all very distinct in their mode of function and restrictions so I'm not too bothered.Yeah true. But yeah, the nen copying ability is a convenient way to not have to invent new techniques. Well, looking forward to the next chapter :)įirst Chrollo, then Ging, now Kurapika too can copy abilities? *sigh* Togashi, why you running out of ideas? :( I hope it is explained how exactly that jar or whatever it is, has the power to do such a thing. One interesting concept introduced in this chapter seems to be that of "parasitic type" of nen abilities. He seems to have no concern for his kids. And the king, as expected is a massive a-hole. The pacing is really good too, Togashi seems to be wasting no time revealing the various nen beasts of the princes. Part of it because of his talent, but also because of his determination and last but not the least, his genes (scarlet eyes). I think at this point, it is undeniable that Kurapika has the most versatile ability in the entire series. So all in all the ability seems pretty balanced.

In fact, you can also add that he needs to be capable of sucking the opponent's nen for a while (which might not be possible on a user of equal or greater strength than him) and has to be in the state of Emperor time. Based on the spoilers I was a little worried it would be too overpowered but after reading, it seems like there's at least two conditions to its use: Finally after so many years, we discover what Kurapika's index finger's power is.
